As Feldco is a family owned and operated company, the theme of "family" has been the focus of their scholarship program. They received over 2,000 applications this year from high school seniors and students already enrolled in college, and their Scholarship Committee chose Morgan Cryder as their winner. Morgan's essay about how her family contributed to who she is today resonated with the committee and exemplified her dedication to education, her passion for volunteering and optimistic view on life. Morgan will be attending the University of Arizona in the fall and noted to the committee, "I really enjoyed the essay topic and was appreciative that I had the opportunity to tell my story of how my family has impacted my journey through their support and help."
Feldco not only supports young students in their academic pursuits but likes to give back in the communities they serve. This year, Feldco proudly donated windows for a project in Aurora though the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity and was thrilled to partner with the Building and Fire Code Academy of Elgin and their "Educating Professionals, Creating Partnerships" program. The Academy will be providing comprehensive and practical education in the administration, application and enforcement of building and fire codes. Feldco windows will be used in the structure they are erecting as a part of this education process.
