Fellow Health Partners Announces Knowledge College™ Careers at High Schools
As part of its commitment to providing more jobs in America, Fellow Health Partners introduces Knowledge College™ Careers in Long Island high schools
Fellow Health Partners, Inc., a New York based medical business solutions company, today announced the launch of Knowledge College Careers, another evolution of its training program in both technical billing skills and customer service.
CEO Michael N. Brown said, "At Fellow Health Partners, we want to do our part to help keep jobs in America by focusing on a career path for our employees, rather than providing something where they just punch the clock. As we studied the marketplace, we were surprised to learn that although 70% of high school graduates go to college, 55% don't finish. This means that when you add it all up, there are almost twice as many people who have a high school degree compared to those who have a college degree.
We recognized that many of those high school graduates were bright, hardworking, looking for an opportunity to contribute and to grow, but were shut out by many businesses that simply rubber stamp "college degree required" on their recruiting documents. So, we decided to do our part in trying to help. That's why we launched Knowledge College™ Careers, an outreach program that is starting with local high schools.
We are introducing the idea that you don't need a college degree to be an excellent medical biller and manager. What you do need is ambition, the willingness to work hard, and the proper training. You can start at an entry level position and work your way up to a good paying job because the outsourced medical billing business continues to grow rapidly and is projected to be a $29 billion business by 2022. There will be plenty of jobs for those who have the right training and can do the work effectively.
Since everyone who works for Fellow Health Partners goes through our Knowledge College™ training curriculum that includes technology, systems, "people" skills, and health care compliance rules, a high school graduate is ready to start contributing quite quickly. That's because along with technical training in our billing system, EHR, and SAVi™ technology, we also help them enhance the people skills they already have, raising them to the "conscious" level.
