FESTIVALS OF SPEED is back after 11 months of inactivity due to Covid-19. Florida exotic car shows to start in February
The FESTIVALS OF SPEED Motorsports Gathering is back after being dormant for almost a full year due to COVID-19. The first two events of 2021 will be St. Petersburg and Orlando. Events will feature a wide variety of vintage and contemporary exotic, classic and American muscle cars.
ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 14, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Florida luxury lifestyle automotive events start back up again in February. The St. Petersburg event will take place Sunday, February 21st in Vinoy park overlooking the bay and the Orlando event will take place Sunday, March 14th at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande lakes. Two other shows will follow with April 18th being the date for Alpharetta, GA and then May 1st will be the World Equestrian Center in Ocala celebrating the Kentucky Derby.
200+ cars are expected to be on display at all venues. A wide variety of vehicles including Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, McLaren, Porsche, and others will all be featured. Shows operate from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Throughout the day guests can enjoy fine wines, craft cocktails, unique culinary offerings, luxury brand displays and more. The afternoon will see an awards presentation where crystal trophies will be presented to car owners who have won top honors in their class of vehicles.
In working to create a safe environment for all attendees' cars will be spaced further apart than in the past to allow for social distancing. Overall, the layout of the event will be designed to allow for an easy flow of attendees in a wide-open format. Since our events take place outdoors, we feel we can create an environment that people of all ages will feel comfortable in."
One very special car that is new to the supercar market will be the ASPARK OWL from Japan. It is set to display at the Ritz-Carlton event. The first Japanese full-electric hypercar is also the world's most powerful electric hypercar. The Owl has the most powerful automotive electric motors ever made producing 1480 KW with 2012 horsepower. Overall torque is approximately 2000 Newton meters. The Owl has almost three times more power than Formula-E cars and two times more than Formula 1 cars. The most astonishing performance is the acceleration, from 0 to 60 mph in 1.69 seconds.
