LIGONIER, Pa., Oct. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Families looking for a fun, friendly alternative to the more frightening events of the season will love Idlewild's HALLOWBOO! sponsored by Eat'n Park every Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5 – 27. HALLOWBOO! is fun for the entire family and has become a Laurel Highland's tradition for the Halloween season!
Kids ages 12 and under can come in costume and journey through Story Book Forest's transformed Trick-or-Treat Trail, collecting tasty treats along the way! The fun continues with the all new Boo-Vie Theater showing short Halloween scenes, and the popular Confusion Hill walkthrough attraction will be transformed into Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree featuring a special seasonal story line. Families will enjoy taking in the Park in its festive Fall décor as fountains take on colorful hues of green, orange and purple to complement the changing foliage of the Park's natural landscape. The Loyalhanna Limited Railroad – renamed the HALLOWBOO EXPRESS - takes guests through a variety of Halloween scenes as it travels along its forested track. In addition, some of the Park's food stands will feature fall-favorite flavors – including cinnamon sugar glazed funnel cake, pumpkin fudge, fried Oreos and make-your-own S'mores.
Special HALLOWBOO! shows feature a cast of colorful characters to get kids up and dancing. Jack-O-Lantern Jive has two ghoulish dance captains teaching kids some fun dance moves through the pumpkin patch. Capping each day, The Monster Mash brings together all the characters that the kids met around the Park, including Idlewild's mascots Ricky Raccoon and Duke the Dragon, for one final Halloween dance party!
Park gates and Story Book Forest open at 11:30 a.m. with select rides and attractions operating from noon to 6 p.m. HALLOWBOO! is included with the purchase of a 2020 season pass, on sale now for as low as $84.99! Single day tickets, group pricing and event details including special appearances are available at idlewild.com/hallowboo.
