A family-owned group of insurance companies based in Kansas City makes changes in executive positions as the third generation assumes more duties.
KANSAS CITY, May 31, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Fidelity Security Life Group of insurance companies, which are owned by the Jones family of Kansas City, have announced a series of leadership changes.
After 40 years as President & CEO of the family holdings, Richard F. "Dick" Jones, has passed those duties on to his sons. Dick will remain active as Chairman of the insurance group, which includes Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company, Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company of New York, and Fidelity Security Assurance Company.
Bryce Jones was named President of Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company (FSL). Bryce joined the company in 2009 and has been responsible for the marketing, finance, and investment teams for the life/health carrier.
FSL was established by the Jones family in 1969 and has grown over the last 53 years into nationwide underwriter of specialty insurance with more than $1.3 billion in annual premium income and capital exceeding $300 million.
FSL has been recognized repeatedly as one of the nation's top 50 life-health insurance companies by Ward Group, a prominent industry benchmarking firm. FSL is rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best.
Brad Jones was named President of Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company of New York (FSLNY) and Fidelity Security Assurance Company (FSAC). Brad joined the family enterprise in 2007 and has focused on the areas of Information Technology, Legal, Human Resources, and Administration.
FSAC, a property & casualty underwriter, is the family's newest venture. It was formed in 2021 and is in the process of gaining underwriting authority in all 50 states.
Brad and Bryce Jones are the third generation of Jones family members to ascend to leadership roles in the organization. Brad also was named Vice Chairman of FSL, while Bryce also will serve as Vice Chairman of FSLNY and FSAC.
