Firo Pizza Debuts Newest Location with Free Pizza Giveaway
Firo® Fire Kissed Pizza announced the opening of its third restaurant, located in Georgetown, Texas, on Saturday, March 9. Established in 2014, Firo already has two other successful locations in Lawton, Oklahoma and McKinney, Texas. In honor of the opening, Firo awarded the first 50 guests with membership into a program which allows them to enjoy one free pizza per week for a year.

Established in 2014, Firo already has two other successful locations in Lawton, Oklahoma and McKinney, Texas. In honor of the opening, Firo awarded the first 50 guests with membership into a program which allows them to enjoy one free pizza per week for a year.
The Georgetown location opened its doors prior to the grand opening event for a friends and family event, as well as a soft opening to the general public. Guests were able to get a taste of artisan pizza while the staff gained valuable experience serving the community.
"We're really excited to be able to bring our delicious pizza and gelato to the Georgetown community. We have fans in North Texas because of our other two locations, and we heard their requests to bring it south – so we did!" said founder Matt Jones.
Customers of Firo can choose a pizza from the Signature menu, designed to combine delicious flavors in unique recipes, or they can build their own pizza from an assortment of nearly 30 different toppings. The current customer favorite at the other locations is the Primo, a sweet and savory recipe that combines smoked prosciutto with mozzarella, provolone, fontina and gorgonzola cheeses and is topped with a fig, a balsamic reduction and shaved parmesan. All of the ingredients used at Firo are brought in fresh, including the dough which is house-made. Many ingredients are imported from Italy, including the tomatoes used in the marinara.
The term "fire kissed" refers to the large brick ovens that bake the pizzas at a temperature of over 500 degrees. This high heat cooks quickly, while creating a delicious combination of a crunchy and chewy crust. The exposed brick oven lends to the overall ambiance of Tuscany, combined with modern and artistic elements throughout the restaurant, giving each location a unique flair.
