First Bobblehead of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger Unveiled
Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) November 05, 2015 -- Today, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum (http://www.BobbleheadHall.com) unveiled the first bobblehead of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger ever produced. Rudy’s story inspired the 1993 TRISTAR Productions movie “Rudy”, which immortalized his life. Only 1,000 of the bobbleheads were produced and each bobblehead is individually numbered.
"Like millions of Americans, I have always been inspired by Rudy’s story--a small-town kid rising up and achieving his goals against all odds.” said Phil Sklar, Co-Founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “Rudy’s journey continues to inspire millions of people to this day, and I expect this bobblehead will serve as a symbol of motivation for fans across the country.”
Against all odds on a gridiron in South Bend, Indiana, Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, in twenty-seven seconds, carved his name into history books as perhaps the most famous graduate of the University of Notre Dame. The son of an oil refinery worker and the third of 14 children, Rudy rose from valleys of discouragement and despair to the pinnacles of success. Today, he is one of the most popular motivational speakers in the United States.
Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger commented, “Nearly 40 years to the day that I played in the game that inspired the movie Rudy, it’s exciting to have my first bobblehead released. I hope this bobblehead serves as a symbol for people to dream big and follow their passion.”
"We’re excited to release Rudy’s bobblehead nearly 40 years to the day that Rudy played in the Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech football game that inspired the movie “Rudy”. We expect this bobblehead to become a cherished collector’s item and a memento that is passed down in families. We were surprised that Rudy had never had a bobblehead, and we are excited to produce the first one for him.” said National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum Co-Founder and President, Brad Novak.
The bobbleheads, which are in stock, are only available at http://www.BobbleheadHall.com/product/rudy for $30 plus shipping. $1 from every bobblehead sold will go directly to the Rudy Foundation, which is dedicated to the support and recognition of those who aspire to fulfill their dreams through character, courage, contribution and commitment.

About Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger:
It took years of fierce determination to overcome obstacles and criticisms, yet Rudy achieved his first dream - to attend Notre Dame and play football for the Fighting Irish. As fans cheered "RU-DY, RU-DY," he sacked the quarterback in the last 27 seconds of the only play in the only game of his college football career. He is the only player in the school's history to be carried off the field on his teammates' shoulders. In 1993, TRISTAR Productions immortalized his life story with the blockbuster film, RUDY. Written and produced by Angelo Pizzo and David Anspaugh, the award-winning team who brought us HOOSIERS, the critically acclaimed RUDY received "Two Thumbs Up" from Siskel and Ebert and continues to inspire millions worldwide.
