Tech is even more powerful than most people realize and not everything you see or read in cyber is real

In Deb Radcliff’s new cyberthriller “Breaking Backbones: Information is Power: Book I of the Hacker Trilogy” (published by Archway Publishing) a hacker war 17 years in the making erupts after GlobeCom takes over the world through human chip implants.

Cyberinvestigator Cindy Frank (aka Cy) refuses to take a chip implant and leaves her job at the Defense Forensics Labs to go off-grid and form a hacker clan. It takes the hackers nearly two decades to form and execute an attack against GlobeCom, which has taken over the world through human chip implants. While the freedom hackers succeed in breaking the GlobeCom backbone, Cy is gravely injured and her husband Des is killed in the attack. She must rebuild her body while steering the hacker clans away from new danger awaiting them at the Watergate — that could destroy almost everyone she holds dear.

“Tech is even more powerful than most people realize and not everything you see or read in cyber is real,” Radcliff says. “When you put those two concepts together, there is a propensity for abuse on many levels.”

“Breaking Backbones: Information is Power” is available for purchase online at Archway’s website, from Barnes & Noble and on Amazon at: https://www.amazon.com/Breaking-Backbones-Information-Hacker-Trilogy/dp/1665701080.
