To pick the 50 Best Companies to Work For, Mortgage Executive Magazine conducted the most extensive loan originator survey in corporate America. Over 200 mortgage companies and banks participated. More than 10,000 loan originators were surveyed. The online surveys are limited to licensed mortgage loan originators who are currently employed by the companies that they are rating. The survey asked the mortgage loan originators to rate the company's culture, loan processing, underwriting, compensation, management, marketing, and technology. Any company with a minimum of 30 mortgage loan originators is eligible. The winning companies are selected based on a combination of total mortgage loan originator votes and average rating score.
