Firstech Launches National Coat Drive Campaign at over 100 Remote Start Retail Locations
Firstech is partnering with over 100 remote start retailers across North America to launch "Drive for Coats", a national campaign to collect new and gently worn coats for those in need.
SEATTLE, Oct. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Firstech, makers of Compustar and DroneMobile connected car solutions, has launched its second annual "Drive for Coats" campaign at over 100 retail locations. Firstech's Drive for Coats campaign is an effort to collect new and gently worn coats throughout winter to donate to those in need across North America.
Firstech first launched "Drive for Coats" in 2017, when the company partnered with One Warm Coat, a national non-profit organization that works to provide a free, warm coat to any person in need. In the campaign's inaugural run, Firstech dealers collected over 6,000 coats – all of which were distributed by local charities vetted by One Warm Coat. This year, Firstech will partner with over 100 remote start retailers to join in the company's goal of 10,000 coats collected by the end of the year.
Participating retailers include Mobile Edge of Lehighton, PA. Mobile Edge has promoted coat drives campaigns similar to Drive for Coats for nearly a decade, generating hundreds of coat donations. To raise awareness for Mobile Edge's campaign, owner Mitchell Schaffer offered discounts on Compustar remote starters in exchange for the donation of a new or gently worn coat.
"Drive for Coats is a platform for connecting independent retailers with their communities and those in need," shares Firstech's marketing director, Justin Lee. "We are excited for our retailers to collect and donate thousands of coats this winter, and in the process, bring visibility to small businesses that are making a positive impact in their communities."
