Firstmark Credit Union Names Kelley Farwell Community Relations Officer Role Demonstrates Commitment to Enhancing Corporate Citizenship Activities
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) January 23, 2015 -- Firstmark Credit Union has announced the selection of Kelley Farwell to serve as its Community Relations Officer. The announcement was made by Leon Ewing, CEO and President.
“Being a strong corporate citizen within our community has long been a part of our mission,” said Ewing. “Over the years, we have demonstrated that commitment through sponsorships and partnerships with school districts, colleges, elected officials, and numerous other entities.”
In her new role, Kelley will be responsible for public and community relations activities including collaborative partnerships within Bexar County. She will represent Firstmark in civic, business, and educational activities, such as Student Aid San Antonio. Kelley will also serve as a liaison for all local and state media and trade press.
Having joined Firstmark in 2006, Kelley has successfully managed a variety of marketing, public relations, and community outreach programs including a city-wide teen volunteer fair which earned national recognition with a Diamond Award from the Credit Union National Association and the ongoing SAReads program and partnership with Literacy San Antonio which received a Dora Maxwell Award for Social Responsibility. She is a graduate of the Communications College at the University of Texas at Austin.
