Burghardt is originally from Long Island, but has lived in the Rochester area for the past 25 years. He studied Business Administration at State University of New York at Albany and spent his career as area managers for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. In 2007, he opened a 24-hour gym franchise, which he operated for 11 years.
