Unfortunately, he incorrectly tensioned the running belt and during a long run one day the treadmill came to a very abrupt halt. Jacobs tripped on the belt and crashed off the deck - and was quite lucky his injury was not permanent or disabling. Having to remove the damaged equipment from an upstairs room and dealing with the delivery, installation and assembly of a new treadmill was even further frustration.
