Premieres in Dublin, London, Los Angeles and New York Launch a Global Screening Tour That Turns Theaters Into Forums for Conversation
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, the World Without Cows filmmaking team and Studio 410 released the official trailer for the award-winning documentary and announced its fall global theatrical screening tour. It kicks off with global premiere events in Dublin (September 9), London (September 10), Los Angeles (September 16) and New York (September 18), with directors Michelle Michael and Brandon Whitworth and executive producer Dr. Mark Lyons in attendance.
Cows are tied to some of the biggest questions facing humanity: how we feed a growing population, protect the planet, and provide adequate nutrition in communities around the world. Against a backdrop of climate change, food insecurity, and rising protein demand, World Without Cows challenges what we think we know about cows, climate, health, and the future of our planet. Through a global journey spanning 22 countries and five continents, the film explores the complex relationship between food, sustainability, biodiversity, and the people whose lives hang in the balance.
Award-winning journalists Michelle Michael and Brandon Whitworth spent five years filming in more than 40 locations, in conversation with farmers, ranchers, scientists and environmental experts. What they found was far from simple: when it comes to cows, it's not black and white.
Following the premieres, the campaign expands into a theatrical tour of select cities throughout North America beginning this October, including a large-scale journey through America's heartland, alongside international screening events planned across South America, Europe, Africa and Asia, returning World Without Cows to many of the places where it was filmed. Most stops pair the film with panel discussions, making this theatrical release a town hall, gathering farmers and ranchers, scientists and students, educators, environmental voices, food and agriculture communities and moviegoers in the same room to watch and talk together. Through a partnership with Gathr, any community can also request a screening and bring the film to its own local theater. With the film available in more than 25 languages, the tour is built to travel.
