Top employers embracing hybrid work as new workplace norms established
BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 13, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today FlexJobs, the leading career service specializing in remote and hybrid jobs, released its inaugural list of the Top 100 Companies for Hybrid Jobs 2022, which details the companies that have had the most hybrid job postings in the last 12 months. The list is based on an analysis of approximately 57,000 companies and their hybrid job posting histories in the FlexJobs database between September 1, 2021 and August 31, 2022. The featured companies had the highest number of hybrid job openings during this time period and are currently considered strong prospects for hybrid job seekers.
Kelly earned the number one spot on the Top 100 Companies for Hybrid Jobs list, with CVS Health, UnitedHealth Group, and Verizon among the top ten companies with the highest number of hybrid jobs posted in 2022.
FlexJobs saw a 52% increase in the number of hybrid job postings during the time period September 1, 2021 - August 31, 2022 compared to September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021.
"We have definitely seen a tipping point towards a deeper and more permanent integration of remote and hybrid work into organizations," said Sara Sutton, Founder and CEO of FlexJobs. "While it can vary greatly by employer and industry, many companies are successfully adopting hybrid workplaces for the long-term, as this list of leading companies demonstrates. When carried out correctly, hybrid workplaces can be a win for both employers and professionals, and we expect that hybrid working will become the workplace norm moving forward," Sutton concluded.
A "hybrid job" is defined as a professional-level job that consists of some remote work and some in-office work. Examples include:
- Each week has some remote and some in-office days
- Workers are generally remote with some in-office days
- Everyone generally works in the office with some remote days
According to FlexJobs' Career Pulse 2022 Survey, nearly a third (32%) say hybrid is their ideal work arrangement, with 65% preferring to work from home full-time. In that same survey, 84% also said having a remote or hybrid job makes or would make them a happier person in general.
