Flights to Krabi Airport Increase to Meet Popular Demand
(PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- Thousands of holidaymakers flock to the beautiful province of Krabi every year, and yet it has managed to retain its traditional Thai charm. With its unspoilt landscape and stunning location on the Andaman coast, Krabi provides the ideal destination for a relaxing holiday in a tropical paradise. The province‘s tourism industry is dynamic in meeting the needs of its guests, and the new service from Malaysia Airlines is a welcome development among industry professionals and holidaymakers alike.
Malaysia Airlines can trace its origins as far back as 1937. Naturally, this was a golden era in the history of commercial air travel, and the airline has done much to remain competitive in a fast changing industry. Its high standards in customer service have been recognised in the annual World Airline Survey by Skytrax, which presented Malaysia Airlines with both the ‘Staff Service Excellence for Asia Award’ and the ‘World’s Best Economy Class Award’ in 2010. Also, the airline became a member of the Oneworld alliance in February 2013, connecting its international services to 850 destinations across 150 countries.
The new service from Malaysia Airlines will operate between Kuala Lumpur and Krabi, and the scheduled flights will run on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday every week. The airlines' Group Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, commented ‘Malaysia Airlines is excited to expand its network by introducing Krabi as its latest destination. Krabi is a popular holiday spot and a favourite among Malaysians; therefore we are pleased to offer our guests the opportunity to visit Krabi via Malaysia Airlines’.
The introduction of a new service from Malaysia Airlines is also yet another exciting development for Krabi Airport, which has become a tremendous asset to the tourism industry in Southern Thailand. In 2013, the Civil Aviation Department extended the operating times at Krabi Airport to 24 hours, with a view to easing the congestion at Phuket Airport. Krabi Airport has also welcomed a number of new domestic and international services from other airlines over the past three months, including Nok Air and Air Asia.
As a key participant in the success of Krabi’s tourism industry, Krabi Riviera is delighted to promote the new service from Malaysia Airlines. The company manages a notable portfolio of holiday villas in the Ao Nang area, and only those properties meeting the highest standards in style and comfort are included in its portfolio. As a result, Krabi Riviera’s guests can look forward to enjoying properties with designer kitchens, luxurious bathrooms and private swimming pools.
In view of Krabi’s increasing popularity as a tourist destination, the new flights from Malaysia Airlines will be a truly welcome addition to the existing services at Krabi Airport.
