Florida Department of Health Renews Contract with CE Broker
Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) August 21, 2015 -- CE Broker, Inc. has renewed its state contract with the Florida Department of Health for another five years until 2020. The company is the sole source of continuing education tracking services, all provided to the state at no-cost, and serves over one million licensed healthcare professionals in Florida.
CE Broker was founded in 2003 as a custom solution for state agencies requiring licensed professionals to complete continuing education hours for license renewal. The Florida Department of Health communicates to CE Broker what every professional is required to complete each cycle. CE Broker then takes that information and builds a transcript customized to each individuals requirements. Continuing education providers post hours to CE Broker as the licensees complete courses. With all of this information being stored in CE Broker, the Department of Health verifies that all hours have been met by automatically checking inside CE Broker in real time at license renewal.
After ten years, the Department and CE Broker are integrated so CE verification happens in real-time. Licensees, educational providers and the Department of Health all use CE Broker as a tool for simplifying the continuing education process and ultimately increasing compliance rates among healthcare professionals.
"We're really excited to be a part of this project," says CEO Brian Solano. "The Florida Department of Health is leading the way in online tracking of continuing education and we are happy to be their partner."
An additional seven state agencies now use CE Broker to track continuing education, and at least two additional states will be starting pilot programs by the end of 2015.
CE Broker now tracks continuing education for over 1.2 million licensees, and more than 6,000 educational providers are currently registered and reporting hours.
