Mr. Cruz then attended Barry University to obtain his law degree. While at Barry, he was a certified legal intern with the State Attorney's Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, handling several criminal cases all the way to trial. He was also an active volunteer at the Judge Advocate General's Office at Patrick Air Force Base assisting veterans and their families with legal issues and questions. After graduating with his Juris Doctor and passing the Florida Bar exam, Francisco accepted a position as an assistant state attorney with the State Attorney's Office for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Osceola County. As a prosecutor, Francisco litigated hundreds of cases. During this time, he gained valuable experience during hearings, motions and trials. Wanting to have more direct communication and impact on those he could help and use the skills he had gained as a prosecutor; he began private practice in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury. Francisco Cruz now focuses his practice of law on cases where his clients have been injured due to the negligence of others. Throughout the years, he has been able to represent clients in many jurisdictions throughout Florida. He has gained the respect of attorneys and judges throughout the state as a professional and skilled litigator.
