Despite the Florida Keys' reputation as a "paradise," an alarming number of its residents are struggling just to feed themselves and their families. Furthermore, a significant number of the food insecure citizens that turn to FKOC for food assistance don't qualify for federal nutrition programs and are forced to rely on emergency programs, such as those provided by FKOC. Its Loaves & Fish Food Pantry offers two locations to assist community members in need of nonperishable food items: the William M. Neece Center and St. Peter's Episcopal Church Thrift Shop in Bahama Village.

In addition to FKOC, Duley is a proud supporter of Take Stock in Children in Monroe County, a non-profit organization that provides a unique opportunity for deserving youth/students through education. "She is now a senior and will be graduating this year," noted Duley. "She will be getting a 4-year scholarship to go to college. When she was a sophomore she qualified for the program 'Experiment in Living' and was able to travel to Mongolia over the summer."
