FOCOL Holdings Limited reported a 50.1% increase in net profit and comprehensive income to B$44.4 million for the 2025 financial year, alongside B$89.3 million in capital additions. The Group is now focused on converting that investment into reliable operating performance while strengthening its wholesale, retail and utility services businesses across The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
NASSAU, The Bahamas, Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- FOCOL Holdings Limited reported a 50.1% increase in net profit and comprehensive income for the financial year ended September 30, 2025, as the Group continued a significant program of investment across its energy businesses in The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Net profit and comprehensive income increased to B$44.4 million from B$29.6 million in the prior year, while consolidated revenue reached B$454.0 million. Earnings per share increased to B$0.39 from B$0.26, while gross profit rose to B$119.8 million from B$109.5 million. Bahamian dollars are pegged one-to-one with the U.S. dollar.
The results were presented to shareholders at FOCOL's 2026 Annual General Meeting in Nassau and reflect continued progress across the Group's established businesses alongside significant investment in additional capacity, infrastructure and future energy opportunities.
Capital additions during the financial year totaled B$89.3 million, following B$88.0 million in the prior year. At September 30, 2025, construction in progress had a carrying value of B$59.3 million, reflecting projects and infrastructure continuing through development.
FOCOL President and Chief Executive Officer Dexter Adderley said the Group's focus is increasingly on translating that investment into dependable operating performance.
"Over the past several years, we have invested significantly in the capacity and infrastructure required to support the future of the Group," Adderley said. "The priority now is disciplined execution ensuring that these investments translate into reliable operations, strong customer service and sustainable value for our shareholders."
Adderley told shareholders that FOCOL's operations are increasingly being managed through three principal areas of wholesale, retail and utility services, each with a distinct role in the Group's development.
Wholesale remains the foundation of much of FOCOL's business, encompassing petroleum importation, storage and distribution, marine and aviation fueling infrastructure and terminal services. Retail represents the Group's most direct interface with customers through its service-station network, convenience retailing and related activities, while Utility Services includes electricity-generation activities in New Providence and renewable-energy activities in Grand Bahama.
"FOCOL is developing into a broader energy business, but our established businesses remain fundamental to the Group," Adderley said. "They provide the foundation from which we can responsibly pursue new opportunities while continuing to serve the energy needs of the communities in which we operate."
Looking ahead, Adderley said management is strengthening the infrastructure and operating systems supporting the Group's wholesale activities, continuing to invest in its retail network and customer experience, and focusing on the reliable operation of recently expanded generation capacity while advancing the infrastructure required for the next stage of FOCOL's energy strategy.
The Group is also continuing to strengthen project-management capability, safety systems, leadership development and the technical and organizational capacity required to manage a larger and increasingly complex business.
Chairman Sir Franklyn R. Wilson said the scale of FOCOL's investment program makes continued discipline in capital allocation and governance increasingly important.
"Investment and growth cannot be considered separately from liquidity, leverage, risk and the ability of the underlying businesses to generate sustainable returns," Sir Franklyn said. "Our responsibility is to ensure that the quality of our governance keeps pace with the scale of the organization we are building."
The Group maintained a focus on liquidity and balance-sheet management while undertaking its investment program. Total assets increased to B$579.9 million, while shareholders' equity reached B$276.6 million at year-end. Cash generated from operating activities was B$67.1 million, and the Group ended the financial year with B$59.3 million in cash.
FOCOL returned approximately B$15.8 million to ordinary shareholders during the 2025 financial year through dividends totaling B$0.15 per share, maintaining the same dividend level as the prior year.
Management said its priorities over the next phase are to strengthen operating performance across the expanded Group, maintain disciplined capital management, continue developing its people and systems, and ensure that investments already undertaken deliver their intended operational and financial benefits.
"The next phase is about execution," Adderley said. "We have built significant capacity. Our responsibility now is to operate that capacity reliably, efficiently and safely, and to ensure that it delivers lasting value."
