LINDEN, Ala., Nov. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In the Bible, the New Testament is structured by each prophet and their description of the life of Jesus Christ. In his new thought-provoking book, "Thou Art the Christ: A Devotional on the Life of Jesus," author Jonathan Jenkins provides readers with an easy-to-follow explanation of the life of Jesus Christ.
Jenkins came from a very strong Christian background and decided to focus his collegiate studies on the Bible. When both of his parents became ill, he devoted his time to taking care of them. After his father passed away, he decided to write "Thou Art the Christ" so he could follow his passion for the Bible and still take care of his mother. Before her passing, his mother had read this book and encouraged him to publish it.
This refreshing, straightforward narrative of stories from the Bible makes it easy for readers to comprehend the events in Jesus' life. Following Christ on his journey, readers can make the connection between the teachings of the Bible and their own lives.
"I want to encourage faith-filled followers of Jesus Christ," Jenkins said. "My goal is to bring scripture into their daily lives, so they can connect with Him past their Sunday service."
This book can be followed as a daily devotional as well as in Bible study groups. At the end of each story, there are questions or truths to consider, so the reader can easily complete one story and thought-provoking exercise per day to connect with teachings from the Bible on a regular basis.
