BRAMPTON, Ontario, Dec. 10, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- RIC Centre today announced The Future is Now: Innovation in 2021, an event to celebrate the organization's move into the Brampton Innovation District.

On January 6, attendees will explore how the startup and tech community across Peel Region can align itself to a world that is increasingly connected, with technology determining the scope of opportunity going forward into 2021.
Through a keynote and live panel discussion, local founders will discuss their startup journey and learnings including Amir Azhari of AOMS Technologies, Jahanzaib Ansari of Knockri, Rohan Mahimker of Prodigy Education and Ajay Kochhar of LiCycle.
The event will feature a live keynote by Jim Carroll, a leading global futurist,business trends and transformation expert. Over the last 25 years, Jim has shared his insight from the stage with over 2 million people and will share his insights from his virtual broadcast studio.
The virtual event is open to the community and will also allow for networking among attendees. The event will run from 8:30 am — 10:00 am.
After over a decade in the region, the RIC Centre team will be sharing an announcement that will change the face of the organization for years to come.
Mayor Patrick Brown will open the event, welcoming RIC Centre to Brampton.
The Brampton Innovation District is a developing ecosystem that offers resources to support innovation and technology companies in creating new solutions through a network of partners. Located in the middle of Canada's Innovation Corridor and conveniently connected by train, Brampton is putting the pieces in place to take a lead role in the Toronto-Waterloo Corridor full of highly skilled tech talent.
