This week featured ICONIC: How Organizations and Leaders Attain, Sustain, and Regain the Ultimate Level of Distinction, by award-winning author and speaker Scott McKain, as one of its Top 10 Business Books for 2018. The first official release from the newly-created Forefront Books, helmed by former Howard Books/Simon & Schuster publisher Jonathan Merkh, ICONIC (Oct. 9, 2018) examines what an iconic organization or leader is, and helps readers attain and retain that rare status.

“I am so pleased for Scott McKain and ICONIC to be recognized in this way, and by such an influential business organization,” said Merkh. “Frankly I’m not surprised, Scott has been delivering quality content for years. It’s an incredible honor to have the first official release from Forefront Books included in Forbes’ prestigious list.”

Forbes contributor Shep Hyken, a NYT bestselling author and customer service experience expert, reads roughly 40 books every year before selecting his top 10 titles to recommend to other professionals in his annual list. Hyken’s criteria include an author’s ability to pique and maintain his interest, and actionable takeaways that he can use personally or professionally.

McKain’s ICONIC helps leaders focus on knowing their customers and audiences in order to provide the ultimate customer experience at every touch, ultimately distinguishing both their business and personal brands as remarkable, successful, and iconic. The book is filled with insightful advice and practical examples, delivering powerful, precise steps for anyone from a Fortune 500 CEO to a solo entrepreneur.

The success of Forefront’s first book follows that of the house’s second release, About My Mother, by Peggy Rowe, which became a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller in its first week of release. Merkh has announced a spring title by Trudy Cathy White, daughter of Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-A.
