Forest Hill Insurance Agency Announces Charity Drive in Lynchburg to Benefit Family of Young Local Boy Lost to Cancer USA - English USA - English

Lynchburg, VA (PRWEB) December 16, 2016 -- Forest Hill Insurance Agency, a Virginia-based firm that provides insurance and financial consultation services to families and business owners in and around the Lynchburg metropolitan region, is embarking on a charity drive to support Wesley Shafer, a young local boy who recently succumbed to relapsed Neuroblastoma.

Neuroblastoma is a severe form of cancer that affects the nervous system, and Wesley received previous treatment for this condition at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2014. Wesley’s cancer went into remission briefly, but then returned in a more severe and aggressive form. Wesley fought bravely to the end but passed away last week surrounded by his family and loved ones.

“Wesley was a brave and charming young man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and our goal is to help the Shafer family with funeral and final medical expenses during this difficult time,” says Carrie Mattox, owner and acting manager of Forest Hill Insurance Agency.
