GM will be using these workbenches to produce critically important ventilators for Coronavirus patients in partnership with Ventec Life Systems.
Formaspace Contract introduced three completely new products in response to the pandemic, thoughtfully named for their intended use & function. DEFCON-1 & DEFCON-2 are appropriately named in reference to the military term DEFCON that stands for defense readiness condition. DEFCON-1, being the maximum defense, is a desktop protective health shield made from HDPE, providing a durable, cost-effective, easy to install solution that can be mass-produced. It's counterpart in the series, DEFCON-2, is a desktop acrylic sneeze guard that is just as easy to clean and install, providing a front-facing barrier, while the DEFCON-1 provides both front & side division giving it the higher ranking in the series.
The third new introduction is a full-height partition called InvisiShield, named for the invisible aesthetic of the two material options of either glass or acrylic. The InvisiShield has a sleek & sophisticated design. It can be supported with either feet or casters for those that require mobility. The glass version also comes with the additional feature of dry-erase capability, making it a multi-purpose solution sure to maintain the integrity of the open office design with its see-thru appearance.
