LOS ANGELES, July 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Shryne Group, a vertically-integrated cannabis holding company covering the breadth of California, today announced the appointment of former Altria Group executive Charmaine Chua as its Senior Vice President of Sales.
In her role, Chua will oversee the Shryne Group's wholesale and distribution programs for its leading cannabis brands in California, including STIIIZY, and emerging markets. Chua brings 15 years of sales experience in a highly regulated consumer packaged goods industry. Chua joined Philip Morris USA in 2004, now a subsidiary of Altria Group, best known for its tobacco products such as Marlboro cigarettes and Skoal smokeless tobacco.
In the span of her career, Chua held multiple leadership positions at Altria, and most recently was senior district manager overseeing a 35-person sales team covering 3,000 retail stores and generating $450 million in annual sales. She also led Altria's partnership with retail giant Walgreens, driving sales in over 6,000 stores. Chua is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business, and also holds a B.A. in Legal Studies from the University.
