Former Mrs. USA to Act as Liaison for Florida Premiere of Film, 'Miss Arizona'
Philanthropist and former Mrs. USA Kristen Weardon named film liaison for the Florida premiere of 'Miss Arizona' at the 2018 Artis-Naples International Film Festival.
NAPLES, Fla., Oct. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The longtime Naples resident has been a strong supporter and promoter of the festival since its inception. The much anticipated 2018 Artis-Naples International Film Festival is scheduled for October 25-28. Marking 10 years of unveiling, showcasing and celebrating fine independent film, Weardon has cultivated an enthusiastic support system for the festival since its beginnings. Weardon has lived in the Naples area since 1978 and has an impressive resume of pageant experience, having the title of Mrs. Florida, Mrs. USA, Mrs. Top of the World, Mrs. North America and in the top 6, as well as Choice of the People on the international stage at Mrs. Globe. Since the Artis-Naples festival first began, Weardon has been passionate about pushing the event's success and overall awareness, getting involved with the event and Naples community every year to engage, promote and creatively raise awareness for the weekend's events and its many film experiences.
For over 30 years Weardon has selflessly given back to the Naples community and prides herself on championing emotional wellness, confidence building and women's empowerment through her own programs, including conferences, fundraisers and training seminars. In 2007, she received a lifetime achievement award for charity, and in 2010 had the honor of being voted woman of the year.
Weardon is also aligned with organizations such as WIN Foundation and PACE Center for Girls, which is a mentoring program for at-risk girls.
