Eight years ago, Sherman suffered a paralyzing stroke that doctors said should have killed him. His physical condition has severely damaged his relationship with his son, Sam. Sherman has refused to give in, however, and has found an alternative means of sharing the knowledge gained from his experiences with Sam and other fathers and sons.

One of the most fabled and decorated FBI Special Agents in recent Dallas history, Special Agent Donald Sherman had two successful careers. He built a multi-billion-dollar company, and later sold it to serve his country. He served 22 years in the FBI, entering on-duty as a special agent accountant in 1980. Sherman holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from University North Carolina Chapel Hill with an emphasis in accounting
