Former Grant Thornton Global CIO Rob McGillen Joins Aragon Research
Palo Alto, California (PRWEB) April 06, 2016 -- Aragon Research, a technology-focused research and advisory firm committed to providing thought leading strategic research and trusted advisory services, announced its first CIO in Residence position and named Rob McGillen, CEO of Practically Digital, to the role.
At Aragon, Mr McGillen will act as CIO in Residence, providing applied experiences to the research and insights developed by Aragon. Further, he will help lead the firm’s Digital Transformation consulting practice. As the Founder and CEO of Practically Digital, Mr McGillen leads a technology consulting firm which specializes in digital strategy formation, innovative technology solutions, cognitive computing applications, and IT due diligence and mergers support. Working as strategic partners, Practically Digital and Aragon will provide consulting services that help clients adopt the better practices and solutions identified by Aragon Research.

Prior to founding Practically Digital, Rob spent nearly two decades in leadership roles at Grant Thornton LLP, including 6 years as Global head of technology and CIO. Mr. McGillen led the worldwide technology organization providing IT shared services and enterprise platforms to 40,000 employees in 130 countries, while supporting business transformation through mergers and new business formations.
