Matt Feehery has been named Chief Executive Officer at Foundations Recovery Network (FRN) and Vice President, Addiction Treatment Services, Behavioral Health Division of Universal Health Services (UHS)
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Aug. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Matt Feehery has been named Chief Executive Officer at Foundations Recovery Network (FRN) and Vice President, Addiction Treatment Services, Behavioral Health Division of Universal Health Services (UHS), effective July 30, 2018. He will lead the Addiction Services business of Universal Health Services, which includes the FRN portfolio comprised of six residential treatment facilities and 13 outpatient programs across the US.
Working in the addiction treatment field since 1979, Feehery most recently served as CEO of the Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center (PaRC) and senior vice president of Behavioral Health Services. During his 16-year tenure, he led and managed the 144-bed residential drug and alcohol treatment center and nine regional outpatient centers. Additionally, he was responsible for a mobile psychiatric assessment team of psychiatrists and licensed clinicians serving 13 acute care system hospitals, plus three mental health crisis clinics and a psychiatric case management program.
Previously, Feehery held leadership roles including executive director, CEO and consultant for several alcohol and drug treatment organizations and psychiatric hospitals throughout the country, including one of the nation's first alcohol and drug treatment centers, New Hampshire's Beech Hill Hospital.

A Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) and board-certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC), Feehery earned his MBA in healthcare management from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas, and his bachelor's degree in human resource management from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. He is a regional vice president for NAADAC (the Association for Addiction Professionals) and recently served as president of the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals (TAAP) and chairman of the Behavioral Health Services Council for the Texas Hospital Association (THA).
