Fountain Lite will give franchisees the ability to streamline their hiring and recruiting processes and optimize operations across multiple locations

Our workforce is changing rapidly with a mobile-first, millennial demographic, and we need to adapt to attract talent. We are excited to work with Fountain to offer our candidates the best experience and give our general managers a really great tool to screen and onboard candidates on the go.

Fountain, a leading hiring automation software for the on-demand labor market, announced today the release of Fountain Lite, a free product that streamlines franchisees’ recruiting and hiring processes across multiple locations.

“In the past four years, Fountain has helped clients like Uber Eats, Safeway, Airbnb, Deliveroo, and Shipt hire and onboard nearly one million applicants each month across 50 countries,” says Keith Ryu, CEO of Fountain. “But the needs of franchise owners are different. They often have several job openings across different locations, so vetting, sourcing and communicating with candidates can be time-consuming. Fountain Lite is optimized for these needs and streamlines the recruiting and hiring process from beginning to end.”

In addition to the core, automated functions like tracking applicants’ statuses, scheduling in-person interviews, e-signature verification and running background checks, Fountain Lite allows users to access I9/e-Verify and Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) forms directly through the software.

This move is a result of a recent boom in the franchise market. Earlier this year, IHS Markit and the Franchise Education and Research Foundation predicted an estimated 14,000 new franchise locations would open by the end of 2018 and a 3.7% increase in franchise employment from 2017. This kind of growth is putting a strain on franchisees looking for talented employees to join their ranks.

“The biggest challenge we as a franchise owner face is finding quality candidates and hiring the right people at the right time,” says Tom Douglas, Vice President of Operations at Golden Gate Bell, a franchise operator of 81 Taco Bell locations. “Our industry is seeing incredible growth and employee competition at an all-time high. Our workforce is changing rapidly with a mobile-first, millennial demographic, and we need to adapt to attract talent. We are excited to work with Fountain to offer our candidates the best experience and give our general managers a really great tool to screen and onboard candidates on the go.”
