DALLAS, Jan. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Frank Raha, III, joined HNTB Corporation as government relations director for the firm's Central Division. He brings more than 20 years of experience in state and local government, regulatory compliance and public-private partnerships. He is located in the firm's Dallas office.
Raha will direct the firm's government relations activities for Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Arkansas and Mississippi. His responsibilities include developing government and public affairs plans and collaborating with government relations professionals across the firm to develop and maintain relationships with key policymakers who impact the transportation infrastructure industry.
"Frank is a skilled relationship builder with a history of bringing together groups with diverse interests on legislative, infrastructure and regulatory initiatives," said Michelle Graham, HNTB Central Division sales officer and vice president. "His practical experience in the transportation industry will enable him to provide support and insights to local governments and policymakers throughout Texas and the Midwest."
Prior to joining HNTB, Raha served as regional manager, government and public affairs for a major building materials and solutions firm. Earlier in his career, he served as director government affairs for the Michigan Department of Transportation. Appointed by former Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, Raha led MDOT's government affairs program and served as director for the state transportation commission, the organization that develops and approves all transportation policies and projects in the state.
Raha earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in international relations from Michigan State University. He has been active with the ITS World Congress; the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials; the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce; and other organizations.
