Frazier & Deeter Recognized as a Best Accounting Firm for Women in Leadership
ATLANTA (PRWEB) August 29, 2019 -- Frazier & Deeter, a nationally ranked public accounting and advisory firm, was named one of the 2019 Accounting MOVE Project Best CPA Firms for Equity Leadership. Frazier & Deeter received this honor for the 5th time since 2014. Frazier & Deeter is the only accounting firm based in the Southeast to be included on this list five times.
The 2019 Accounting MOVE Project measures and supports the advancement of women in accounting and consulting firms. The MOVE report outlines tactics that women, advocates for women, and firm leaders can take to ensure that women CPAs can achieve their aspirations for their careers and drive firm growth in the process.
The Accounting MOVE Project Best CPA Firms for Equity Leadership list recognizes firms with a percentage of women partners and principals that is well above the industry average.
“It is an honor to once again be named a Best CPA Firm for Equity Leadership,” said Seth McDaniel, Managing Partner of Frazier & Deeter. “Our firm has won many honors, but this is one of the most important, as we seek to attract and retain talented people.”
Among the firm’s top leadership, the Partners in Charge of three of the four service lines are female. Terri Lawson, who began her career at Frazier & Deeter, is the Partner in Charge of Tax, and Sabrina Serafin, who began her career with Deloitte, is the Partner in Charge of Process, Risk & Governance. Jacqueline Boggs is the Partner in Charge of the firm’s outsourced Fund Administration service, FD Fund Administration.
“Frazier & Deeter was well ahead of its time in offering flexibility that helped the firm retain women throughout their careers,” noted Terri Lawson, Partner in Charge of Tax. Lawson, who is the mother of adult triplets, worked part time for many years while her children were young and was named a partner while maintaining a part time status.
“Our industry as a whole struggles with inclusivity, but it is exciting to be at a firm that is thoughtful about developing people and is making strides toward diversity,” noted Sabrina Serafin, Partner in Charge of Process, Risk & Governance.
In 2009, Frazier & Deeter built on its strong presence of women by launching the Women’s Business Leadership Initiative to support female executives and business owners. Since its introduction, the initiative has offered programming for women seeking to launch a business, grow an existing business or enhance their leadership skills. In addition to supporting women business owners, this program also offers women within the firm with a unique platform for building a network of business relationships.
