FREDERICK, Md., Dec. 14, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Caity Byrne, award winning balloon artist and owner of Frederick Balloon Co., has launched a campaign to "Sponsor Some Cheer" for first responders, front line workers, and community members most affected by the pandemic.
The holidays have traditionally been a time to show extra appreciation to those who serve the community; and to give special attention to residents in long term care facilities. Social contact restrictions have taken away the option of sharing homemade goodies and gifts, but there's a creative solution - Send them balloons!
Byrne runs a balloon décor business based in Frederick, Maryland. She and her staff have designed a collection of stunning helium bouquets for safe, contact free delivery to healthcare professionals, Fire/EMS, police, and those in nursing homes with limited or no visitors.
"I worked in the Frederick Memorial Hospital s Emergency Department for several years. The frontline heroes of this community are not faceless. I have literally shared blood, sweat, and tears with many of these amazing people. I've taken care of the elderly. Finding a way to thank and honor them was a no brainer," says Byrne.
Byrne, who has been a Certified Balloon Artist since 2013, has over a decade of experience in large scale balloon installations, including two White House events. She has also taught at numerous industry conventions.
"This pandemic has taken its toll on everyone. My small business was hit particularly hard, and we aren't able to donate balloons as we normally would this time of year. 'Sponsor Some Cheer' felt like a way my Frederick neighbors can support a small business while honoring our most valiant, and most fragile community members."
The "Sponsor Some Cheer" initiative will last through the end of December. Deliveries are made on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Senders may choose to enclose a positive message or send anonymously at http://www.FrederickBalloons.com/cheer
