FITCI's 12-week accelerator program
FREDERICK, Md., April 14, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI) announced today that the organization has opened applications for the 2023 cohort of The Edge Accelerator program. The 2023 cohort is open to all entrepreneurs and will highlight a special emphasis in businesses within the AgTech, AgBio, AquaTech, and GreenTech industry sectors.
The Edge Accelerator is a free, industry-agnostic accelerator program aimed at fast-tracking the lifecycle of a business and revving-up the startup learning curve. Classes meet weekly beginning in July 2023. For 12 weeks, selected entrepreneurs will receive in-depth, customized mentorship, guidance, and resources as part of this intensive, boot-camp style program. Local mentors and lecturers will be brought into the program weekly to aide participants as they dive deep into topics including building a better business model, doing market research, concise and effective communication, capital considerations, and more.
FITCI will be hosting an Open House information session at FITCI's space at the ROOT building in downtown Frederick on May 18, 2023, at 5:00 PM. Interested participants can sign up via the website. This session will preview the 12-week program schedule, content outline, and allow any questions to be answered and concerns to be addressed.
"Cooperative support is the strength of this program," says FITCI CEO and President Kathie Callahan Brady. "We are excited to put on another cohort of this community-building program once again. We are immensely grateful to all our lecturers and mentors who are so dedicated to the success of these startup applicants. It's the right environment and the right time for shaping dedicated, well-informed business leaders who will augment the rich diversity of opportunity in the Frederick community as they go out and change the world with their businesses."
The application period will end at the end of June, and applicants will be notified by email of decisions before the program kicks off.
