HENDERSON, Tenn., Feb. 7, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Enrollment at Freed-Hardeman University continues its upward trajectory with an all-time high spring enrollment of 2,112 students enrolled for this spring, according to FHU President David R. Shannon.
The university has set enrollment records each semester since Fall 2019. This year's record-setting spring total includes 1,654 undergraduate students (33 more than Spring 2021) and 458 graduate students (a 4% increase over last spring).
Residence halls are almost at capacity, with 1,102 students living on campus. That is the highest number of residential students since 2006. Fall-to-spring retention numbers remained "steady and strong," Vice President for Community Engagement Dave Clouse said. Spring enrollment saw a 94% retention rate.
"FHU has now experienced six consecutive semesters of steady growth over the equivalent semester of the previous year," Shannon said. "We give thanks to God for these wonderful students and for all who have helped us, as we strive to glorify Him in all we do."
