Since 1993, Technology Evaluation Centers (TEC) has provided resources and advisory services to empower businesses to make better software and technology decisions. Today, with more than 150 business software categories and comprehensive services to support businesses in their digital transformation goals, TEC is announcing a major rebranding effort to reflect its evolved, elevated offering.

Nicolas Payette, Vice President of Marketing and Engineering at TEC says, “The new branding represents change. TEC is changing because technology is changing the business world—more than ever, businesses are faced with remarkably complex software and technology environments, and we are focused on evolving our offering to support the business challenges of today and tomorrow.”

The rebranding includes a redesign of the company’s brand assets including the logo, website, and communications. Changes include a modernized font and color palette to represent TEC’s commitment to intelligent, digestible commentary on the complex business of technology.

Additionally, TEC will be releasing new resources with an emphasis on concise, easily consumable delivery of high-value knowledge around software pricing and product comparisons including buyer’s guides, revamped comparison charts, infographics, and quick answer guides, alongside its traditional analyst reports.

A newly designed, UX-forward website is also in the works, starting with a simplified menu to help visitors quickly get to the content they need, and a community section to conduct surveys to increase the flow of communication among users, vendors, commentators, and consultants.

“It’s not just about aesthetics,” notes Shelly McCarron, Marketing Manager at TEC, “The rebranding reflects the effort we’re taking to elevate our resources and services while staying true to our core mission to empower businesses and professionals to make better decisions about technology. This means providing the same clarity and impartiality as always, while modernizing our look and feel and expanding our coverage, so readers can best navigate, digest, and benefit from our expertise.”

TEC’s 2020 Rebranding Highlights

  • Modernized, revitalized logo and brand assets for a company with 25-plus years in the industry
  • Expanded software coverage with more than 150 business software categories (and growing), from stand-alone business apps such as accounting to organization-wide systems such as cloud ERP
  • Elevated resources including revamped comparison charts, infographics, and quick answer guides to common technology challenges
  • Comprehensive, holistic services to help drive major technology changes while maintaining a cohesive enterprise architecture such as digital transformation

With a richer, deeper set of evaluation resources and hands-on services, TEC repositions itself as a leading, independent advisory firm that is a go-to source for businesses of all sizes. Digital transformation will certainly be a goal for many businesses for 2020 and beyond, and with services such as helping companies with their enterprise architecture strategy and providing quick comparison charts for hundreds of business software apps, TEC can help companies realize those goals.
