In his previous career, Dr. Wei originally earned a B.S. in Information and Computer Science from UC Irvine and worked as a software engineer before deciding to change careers into the field of medicine. He completed medical school at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and finished his PM&R residency at Casa Colina Hospital in Pomona, CA, where he was chief resident. He then completed his fellowship training at UCLA Interventional Spine in Santa Monica, CA. Dr. Wei offers a range of treatments including ultrasound-guided peripheral joint and spine injections, fluoroscopically guided spine injections including epidurals and radiofrequency ablation, spasticity management,CRPS treatment, peripheral nerve stimulation, spinal cord stimulation, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) and Vertiflex interspinous spacer placement.
