FundersClub Launches "Venture Points" to Recognize Members, Incentivize Positive Actions for Startup Investors and Founders

The program works like this: FundersClub members accumulate points and achievement badges for taking actions that support the well-being and growth of the community. Members with Venture Points are showcased on a Leaderboard on the company’s website.

The idea for Venture Points is based on the success FundersClub experienced by deeply engaging some of its more active members. Although the community doesn’t directly promote competition among its members, there is an implied challenge by nature of the transparency the program enables. FundersClub Venture Points is designed to show, for the first time, investors’ value-add based on the following point structure:
- Connectors: Members will receive points when they refer companies to FundersClub, helping the community source deals.
- Value-Add: Members will receive points when they provide value-add to portfolio companies (e.g. through introductions).
- Ambassadors: Members will receive points when they actively refer other accredited investors to join the investor community.
