COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 26, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, Future Ready Columbus CEO Jane D. Leach announced her retirement from the early education-focused public-private partnership as of December 31, 2022. Under Leach's leadership, the organization developed and introduced a comprehensive collective impact strategy, Future Ready by 5, to make sure that all children in Franklin County are prepared for kindergarten. Currently, only approximately 38 percent of Franklin County children test as ready for kindergarten on the State's Kindergarten Readiness Assessment.
"I am so happy and proud to have led this important work for the last four years," said Leach. "Future Ready Columbus is in a strong position to change our community, and it is an appropriate time to transition to new leadership. I am looking forward to the next phase of my life, with more time for family and travel. But I am also excited to see how this work, under a dynamic new leader, continues to positively impact our prenatal to age-5 children around their health, education, and development."
FRC Co-Chair and President and CEO of Crane Group Tanny Crane announced a national search for a new CEO, "We will always be grateful to Jane for developing the Future Ready by 5 plan. Now we must shift our focus to finding a new leader that will implement our plan."
A national search will commence to identify a new leader for the organization before Leach departs in December 2022. Broadview Talent Partners, based in Fairfield, CT, with an office in Columbus, OH, has been hired to find the best possible leader.
Leach became the CEO of Future Ready Columbus in 2018, after four decades of service as a teacher, administrator, and preschool founder and board member.
