Malavé was born in Arecibo and raised in Bayamon. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez with a bachelor's in Industrial Management and an MBA. He was certified in 2010 as an SPHR and as a Strategic Mindset facilitator in 2013. His experience includes close to 20 years in Human Resources, Operations, and Supply Chain in the medical devices and pharmaceutical industry. He launched The Growth Coach of Puerto Rico in the Spring of 2014.
