“This important collaboration helps us serve more patients and strengthens our focus on delivering a market-leading healthcare experience.” said Gastro Health CEO, Joseph M. Garcia.

Gastro Health, LLC (“Gastro Health”), one of the nation’s fastest-growing gastroenterology groups, announced today that it has completed its acquisition of South Florida Gastroenterology Associates, P.A. (“SFGA”), which is now rebranded and operating under the Gastro Health name. With the completion of the acquisition, Gastro Health more than doubles its physical footprint in Palm Beach County, establishing new locations in Boynton Beach, Jupiter, and Lake Worth and adding to its existing locations in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Wellington. This and other recent transactions grow Gastro Health’s Florida platform by more than 40% over the past twelve months to 119 physicians across 55 offices throughout the state.

“We are pleased to welcome SFGA’s patients, physicians, and professionals to the Gastro Health family,” said Gastro Health CEO, Joseph M. Garcia. “This important collaboration helps us serve more patients and strengthens our focus on delivering a market-leading healthcare experience.”

SFGA physicians and allied health professionals bring significant depth in gastroenterology and hepatology with more than 20 years of practice in Palm Beach County. The addition of their group:

  • Expands Gastro Health’s presence throughout Florida to 55 locations, including two new ambulatory surgical center facilities in Palm Beach County, making it one of the largest gastroenterology groups in the state.
  • Provides increased access to quality medical care for patients across Palm Beach County with locations in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Jupiter, Lake Worth, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, and West Palm Beach.
  • Helps satisfy an increasing need for digestive care and makes preventive screenings and specialized services more readily available to patients.

The completion of this acquisition follows a series of leadership enhancements that bolster Gastro Health’s operational platform in Florida to ensure the successful integration of newly acquired physician groups. Seasoned healthcare executives Simon Frisch and Chris Weinstein were recently appointed Senior Vice President, Strategic Operations and Division Vice President, Florida, respectively. They will help build vital leadership capacity and oversee a slate of newly expanded regional leadership roles as Gastro Health continues to scale its business in Florida and beyond.
