Gateway Opens New Outpatient Addiction Treatment Center in Gurnee
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 01, 2017 -- Gateway Foundation, Illinois leading non-profit provider of alcohol and drug addiction treatment services, opened a new outpatient location in Gurnee, IL, to expand access to its comprehensive, evidence-based addiction treatment and reduce the shame and stigma attached to seeking help for substance use. An open house to tour the facility and meet with the highly qualified Gateway staff will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. CT.
The new Gurnee facility will serve as an extension to Gateway’s Lake Villa residential center and offer numerous outpatient programs, including co-ed intensive outpatient and aftercare treatment service for adults as well as assist in treating co-occurring mental health disorders.
Gateway’s flexible outpatient programs allow individuals to pursue recovery during hours convenient to their schedules and remain in close proximity to their loved ones while receiving the treatment they need.
“Despite the uncertainty of our country’s healthcare system and the resources available for fighting the current opioid epidemic, we at Gateway continue to expand to meet the needs of our community,” said Karen Wolownik-Albert, LCSW, Executive Director of Gateway’s Lake County Services. “We are committed to providing evidence based, holistic, treatment and support to persons struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.”
Gateway invites the public to come together with local legislators and community advocates to attend an open house at the location of the new outpatient center to see the new space, meet the Gateway Foundation clinical team and learn about the services offered. The center is located at 222 S. Greenleaf, Suite 106 Gurnee, IL 60031. The official ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
