BURBANK, Calif., Sept. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Geeky Teas, the valley's premiere destination for tabletop gaming supplies, geek collectibles, and nerd-centric events, is officially reopening at a new and improved location at 2220 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91506. The doors open for the first time at 1pm on September 29th, 2018.
The new address features several significant improvements over their previous location, including a larger stage for music, comedy and improv acts, a dwarven tavern, replica of Sherlock's living room, a Stranger Things living room set, a significantly larger open-play gaming area where guests can play one of the hundreds of tabletop games available to them in the store - or bring their own, and soon to open speakeasy. The store's famous cat rescue, GeeKitties is also returning, and to accommodate guests with allergies a brand-new cat-free room has been introduced to the store.
In addition to this, the store is also awaiting approval on a liquor license, meaning that alcohol will finally be consumable on the premises - not to mention available to purchase from the store itself. This, combined with the new performance space, makes Geeky Teas & Games an attractive venue for performing acts in the valley.
"We've had all kinds of performers at the store, and for a long time we've wanted to be able to support more artists and larger shows and events but our smaller size, not to mention our lack of a liquor license, made that close to impossible," said Donna Ricci, proprietor of the store. "Now we can. As the store grows, so too grows our power. Amass your armies, call upon your strongest magicks, it will be in vain - we extend and expand past your mortal realm, into the planes and worlds beyond. Soon, we shall become unstoppable."
Ricci later added, "Also, we have a broad selection of gaming accessories and dice available at the counter."
In addition to a performance space, an improved tabletop gaming area and a pending liquor license, several store mainstays will be returning to the new location, including Harvey, the in-store Dalek - a screen-used prop of the armor-plated killing machines from the hit BBC television series Doctor Who. Ricci assures all guests, customers or performers that no one would be harmed by the Dalek during store hours.
The new-and-improved location can be found at 2220 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA, and the store reopens at 1pm on September 29th, 2018 with raffles, giveaways, bring your own beard and tea samplings.
