Genetec Announces Integration of VenTek Pay-by-License Parking Stations with AutoVu LPR System
MONTREAL (PRWEB) November 24, 2014 -- Genetec™, a leading provider of parking enforcement and unified IP security solutions today announced a new partnership with automated payment systems manufacturer VenTek, the latest company to join the Genetec ecosystem of parking solution partners. Together, Genetec and VenTek now offer seamless integration between the VenTek Pay-by-License (PBL) solution and Genetec AutoVu, the Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system which is part of Genetec's unified security platform, Security Center.
The VenTek Pay-by-License (PBL) parking solution enables parking customers to simply enter their license plate information and pay directly at the pay station without having to return to their vehicle. For parking operators, VenTek eliminates the need to maintain marked spaces and help prevent parking receipt fraud. Thanks to this integration between VenTek systems and Genetec AutoVu, parking operators will be able to increase their parking enforcement efficiency. AutoVu-equipped vehicles simply patrol parking installations to scan license plate numbers, while the AutoVu in-vehicle system automatically validates the parked vehicle compliance. The list of vehicles allowed to park in a lot is dynamically synchronized with VenTek pay stations, freeing officers to focus on violation validation and ticketing.
Leveraging the open architecture in AutoVu, VenTek parking solutions are integrated through the AutoVu Pay-by-Plate Sync feature, which simplifies the deployment of pay-by-plate or pay-by-license parking systems and allows parking operators to integrate a diverse ecosystem of parking solution vendors that might not be otherwise compatible. AutoVu Pay-by-Plate Sync enables the integration of permit management systems, pay stations and pay-by-phone solutions with AutoVu ALPR, allowing customers to move to pay-by-plate parking at their own pace.
