MIAMI, June 26, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Genuine Health Group, a Miami-based, technology-enabled healthcare company focused on the transition to value-based care, announced the appointment of Jenifer Montesino as vice president of revenue and quality. The strategic hire demonstrates the company's commitment to adding depth of expertise to its leadership team. It also reflects Genuine Health's multi-faceted approach to value-based care, including the importance of ensuring appropriate Medicare funding for patients and the need for high-performing physicians.
Ms. Montesino will oversee all programs that relate to revenue, including Medicare risk adjustment and quality. As part of her role, she will implement key activities to improve reimbursement accuracy in relation to patient care and quality ratings.
Genuine Health Group operates a number of business lines, including a Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and Management Service Organization (MSO) that manages Medicare Advantage patients under value-based agreements with health plans, and Genuine Health At Home, which provides home-based care to high-risk patients. Genuine Health Group currently manages more than 32,000 Medicare members.

Prior to joining Genuine Health, Jenifer spent twelve years at UnitedHealthcare-owned and operated Medicare Advantage plans in Florida, where she concentrated on Medicare risk adjustment and overseeing primary care physicians' quality ratings from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
