Also the smell of fresh-baked holiday treats can really add to the warmth. A warm, glowing fireplace can also add a welcoming touch."
No. 3: Control over the showing schedule. Selling in the fall or winter means sellers can have more control of the house-showing schedule. "There are fewer showings (a result of a smaller buyer pool) and you can be comfortable knowing that showings this time of the year tend to be more serious buyers," added Baugus.
No. 4: Bringing in the buyers. Take pictures and gather the details on the property, write a compelling property profile, and create effective marketing materials. "It is also important to place advertisements in print publications and to promote online. The vast majority of home buyers begin their search for a home using the internet and social media so an online presence is imperative in promoting your home for sale," stated Baugus.
No. 5: Winter-time views. "With the leaves falling from trees in the fall and the bare trees in the winter, you can get really dramatic lake views that during the summer months can be obscured," concluded Baugus. "This is an ideal time to show off a lake home with spectacular water views!"
