The Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GeorgiaCIO) announced the winners of its 20th Annual CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Awards. GeorgiaCIO recognized chief information officers in eight key categories – Lifetime, Super Global, Global, Enterprise, Corporate – Large, Corporate, Nonprofit and Healthcare. The ORBIEs were presented at the Georgia CIO of the Year Awards at the Cobb Galleria.

The CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States. Since inception in 1998, over 650 CIOs have been honored as finalists and over 170 CIO of the Year winners have received the prestigious ORBIE Award. The Award honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Finalists and winners are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE recipients, based upon:

The CIO Awards ceremony was keynoted by Pat Gelsinger, CEO of VMware. Pat shared his industry experience as a global leader in cloud infrastructure, enterprise mobility & cybersecurity over a fireside chat with Bill VanCuren of NCR Corporation. Over 1,100 guests attended, representing leading Georgia organizations and their technology partners.
