Georgia SoftWorks Announces SSH Server for Windows Feature Release
(PRWEB) February 20, 2019 -- Georgia SoftWorks announces the release of their SSH Server for Windows and Telnet Server for Windows, the GSW UTS Version 8.09.0003. The GSW UTS is excellent with mobile devices in RFID, RF Terminal, Bar Code scanners, and other data collection and wireless environments.
The latest version of the GSW SSH Shield includes several new major features. Client self-termination has been added, allowing a user to terminate a session without involving the system administrator. When the new Device and Client Information Strings are enabled, a number of environmental variables can be accessed by the application to obtain device and client information. This feature applies to the SSH Shield, the GSW Telnet Server for Windows, and the GSW ConnectBot. The SSH Shield now allows third-party clients that have mouse support to operate with the GSW UTS, such as the GSW ConnectBot and PuTTY. The GSW UTS now has the capability to enable and disable the status bar and task bar, and even change the Title Bar content. SCP/SFTP can now be directed to a UNC Path with the GSW SSH Server for Windows. There were also defect resolutions as well as documentation updates.
“We pride ourselves in offering the fastest, most robust SSH Server for Windows available. When it comes to security, complacency is never an option. We will continue to update our products as technology changes to make sure we stay on the cutting edge,” said Steve Lindsey of GSW.
The SSH Shield Release, in conjuction with the GSW Telnet Server for Windows release, provides an easy-to-implement security plan that offers true End-to-end security. To further enhance security, GSW also released a new version of their latest product the GSW ConnectBot, an industrial-grade SSH/Telnet Client for Android. The GSW ConnectBot client offers the strongest encryption available on the commercial market. GSW ConnectBot Version 2.5.0 is now available for shipping and distribution.
