GiftLogic Kit Assembly Now Available to GiftLogic Merchants
Englewood, FL (PRWEB) May 24, 2014 -- GiftLogic Point of Sale software includes an intuitive tool, Kit Assembly, designed to help merchants bundle individual items into packages, gift baskets, or kits. For example, a pet supply store owner could bundle a puppy collar, leash, small bed, 5-pound bag of puppy food, and a few squeak toys into a "Puppy Starter Package" offered to new puppy owners.
According to a spokesperson from GiftLogic, "This wizard can simply and effectively reduce excess inventory and bundle unique inventory items to increase the value to customers."
The spokesperson explained that rather than ringing up each item individually, merchants can assemble the kit within the software and create a single SKU for the entire package. The software moves the individual kit items out of the main inventory and into the kit, ensuring inventory and reporting accuracy.
"Many of our merchants build kits around overstock or slower-moving items," they said. "By assembling a kit of similar items, merchants are able to move these items as well as differentiate their offerings from those of their competitors."
The Kit Assembly wizard is also highly customizable. "If the merchant wants to allow returns on individual kit items, the wizard allows for that," said the spokesperson. "On the other hand, if all sales are final or if the entire package must be returned as a package, the wizard allows for that, too."
In addition to being able to assemble kits into a single SKU and customize its options, GiftLogic's Kit Assembly wizard makes it easy to disassemble kits if desired. "If the merchant would like to sell items separately once again, a few clicks is all it takes to disassemble the kit."
